In a match split between dry and rain-threatened, the world’s best player wore down the world’s favourite player.
Just watch and enjoy this very intriguing match between two world’s best tennis players.

At the very start of the match Federer won the first five points. After his uncertain start Djokovic got into his serve a couple of times but Federer was in a different zone – not for the first time in the tournament – and held to love again for 3-2 after a quarter of an hour.

Federer had the advantage of scoreboard pressure, in the sixth game he won with big advantage showing a superb control of his racket and space.

In the second set it was Federer doing the better performance. Having saved one set point at 4-5, he faced a remarkable six more in a classic tiebreak.
For most players losing a set in such circumstances would be incredibly difficult to recover from. But not Djokovic. As he continued his pressure, Federer could not maintain with it. And, already a break down in the third set, a rain delay of around 20 minutes perhaps took even more of the zip out of Federer’s play.

Finally Novak Djokovic wins 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.

After the match:
“I’m 28,” Djokovic said. “I feel good. I don’t feel old. I have hopefully many more years in front of me. I’m going to try to push my own limits and see how far I can go really with titles and with myself playing on this high level.”
