Team New Zealand arrived home after winning the America's Cup in Bermuda, the celebration of their win launched in Auckland on Thursday 06 July at 12:30 pm.

About 80 000 people lined at Auckland's streets on Thursday to watch the parade and have a look at a trophy - Auld Mug. It's raining, but that hasn't stopped people lined the streets. New Zealand flags everywhere on the parade route.

The parade started on the corner of Wakefield Street and Queen Street. It then went down Queen St, turns right onto Customs St East. It'll then turned left onto Gore St and then went on Quay St to the Princes Wharf.

Then the team New Zealand sailed around the harbour: from the Viaduct Basin to North Wharf, Hobson Wharf, Princes Wharf and finished at Queens Wharf.

About eighty thousands lined the streets to welcome home Team New Zealand and the America's Cup. BTW, how heavy is the America's Cup trophy? The Auld Mug weight is about 18 kilograms.

More than 100 boats and a flotilla of waka followed Team New Zealand as they took to the water, sailing from Viaduct Basin to Princes Wharf and Queens Wharf.
After Auckland the team New Zealand will go to New Zealand capital – Wellington.

The celebration will start on Tuesday 11 at noon near Parliament, go along Lambton Quay, on to Willis Street, finishing with a welcome and speeches in Civic Square.

After Wellington, the team New Zealand will celebrate their victory in Christchurch on Wednesday, July 12, and Dunedin on Thursday, July 13,
