Western Springs College is a state co-educational secondary school in located in Western Springs, an inner suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. The school educates approximately 1400 students from Years 9 to 13.
Currently it is under NZ’s biggest ever school redevelopment: the 25% extra capacity will allow for roll growth from over 1300 to around 1700 students.
Two new teaching blocks, will create 64 new teaching spaces, 12 of which will be set aside for Nga Puna o Waiorea - the college's Maori immersion-Rumaki unit.
The teaching spaces at the school will increase from 60 to 81.
The full redevelopment is expected to be completed in late 2018, ready for the start of the 2019 school year.
