All Blacks reach World Cup final in a gripping semi-final match: either team could have won in the final seconds.
A brilliant show of composure from the All Blacks…
It was unbelievably tense match. The Springboks got to this stage with narrow win over Wales in the quarter-final. All Blacks simply humiliated French team in the quarter final. But here South African team shows defiant performance and almost won the game.
This was an intriguing match to watch for the All Blacks fans in the crowd of 80,000.
South Africa started better with impressive 12-7 scorline at the break but it all changed with New Zealand crawling their way back slowly into the game. A brilliant dropped goal by Dan Carter from a messy lineout was crucial for New Zealand as they turned things around and won the game by 20-18 and reach 2015 Rugby World Cup final.
At 20-15, with Sonny Bill Williams beginning to cause mayhem after replacing Ma'a Nonu, the All Blacks looked set for the win.
Barrett's try, brilliantly converted by Carter, was good value for the All Blacks' advantage in territory and possession, but Pat Lambie's penalty narrowed the gap and then poor Sam Cane knocked the ball on to shift the pressure back on his side.
Unfortunately for the loose forward, on for Kaino, he did it again as the All Blacks ran down the final minutes. Luckily for him and his team, they survived.
The Springboks impressed by solid defensive performance, winning the battles of the scrum and breakdown largely thanks to their immense power. But they lacked a real power in attack.
