It was unbelievably tense match. South Africa started better with impressive 12-7 scorline at the break but it all changed with New Zealand crawling their way back slowly into the game. A brilliant dropped goal by Dan Carter from a messy lineout was crucial for New Zealand as they turned things around and won the game by 20-18 and reach 2015 Rugby World Cup final.

All Blacks reach World Cup final in a gripping semi-final match: either team could have won in the final seconds.

A brilliant show of composure from the All Blacks…

It was unbelievably tense match. The Springboks got to this stage with narrow win over Wales in the quarter-final. All Blacks simply humiliated French team in the quarter final. But here South African team shows defiant performance and almost won the game.

This was an intriguing match to watch for the All Blacks fans in the crowd of 80,000.

At 20-15, with Sonny Bill Williams beginning to cause mayhem after replacing Ma'a Nonu, the All Blacks looked set for the win.
Barrett's try, brilliantly converted by Carter, was good value for the All Blacks' advantage in territory and possession, but Pat Lambie's penalty narrowed the gap and then poor Sam Cane knocked the ball on to shift the pressure back on his side.
Unfortunately for the loose forward, on for Kaino, he was penalized so the All Blacks ran down the final minutes. Luckily for him and his team, they survived.

The Springboks impressed by solid defensive performance, winning the battles of the scrum and breakdown largely thanks to their immense power. But they lacked a real power in attack.

A cracking Quarter final game.
A controversial last-minute penalty for Australia handed them a 35-34 victory over Scotland at Twickenham in a thrilling last quarter-final of the 2015 Rugby World Cup to join New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina in an all-Southern Hemisphere final four.

There was less than 60 seconds on the clock when Foley landed his match winning penalty and that's a cruel, cruel way for Scotland to bow out of the tournament.

At times the Wallabies looked simply irresistible going forward but the Scots played excellent as well.

Peter Horne went over to help the Scots to an early lead, but Michael Hooper, Drew Mitchell and Adam Ashley-Cooper all scored tries in the first half to narrow the gap to one point.

A second from Mitchell and a try from Tevita Kuridrani put the Australians in a strong position, but Tommy Seymour and a late touch down from Mark Bennett gave Scotland a two-point lead with just minutes remaining.
Man of the match- Scotland captain Laidlaw's 19 points from a possible 19 from the boot and energy off the breakdown kept his side in the game and almost inspired them to a remarkable win.

Referee Craig Joubert handed the Wallabies a late penalty for a questionable offside call. Jon Welsh is caught offisde. Foley steps up to take the penalty and he dissects the posts.

And Bernard Foley sealed a dramatic win at the last second of the game.
The match was an incredibly tight contest, with both teams wrestling for the lead throughout, but Foley proved decisive after almost costing his side with several missed conversions.

Australia began the stronger of the two as they pushed forward from the outset, and the Wallabies were almost ahead after five minutes through Mitchell, but the winger dropped Foley's offload over the line.
For the first time in the history of the Rugby World Cup the northern hemisphere will not be represented in the last four of the tournament.

Joubert's decision to run off without shaking the hand of either captain has been roundly condemned and his performance will be the subject of a review from World Rugby.

Australia are into the semi-finals of the World Cup but only by virtue of a controversial last-minute penalty kicked by Bernard Foley with Twickenham temporarily transformed into a noisy highland cathedral.

Australia have reached their sixth Rugby World Cup semi-final (level with France). Only New Zealand, with seven semi-final appearances, has reached more.
