Maria Putin (????? ??????) 29, the daughter of the Russian president used to live with her Dutch partner Jorrit Faassen, 34, an executive for a Russian consultancy firm.

According to a 2012 New York Times profile of Putin’s daughters, Faassen has served as an executive at Gazprom, the Russian state-controlled gas company partially owned by Vladimir Putin.

He owns a two-storey penthouse apartment (pictured) at the top of a luxury high-security block in Voorschoten, next to a canal.
Voorschoten is a village and municipality in the western Netherlands.

But currently Maria Putin left Holland after calls for her to be deported following the crash of flight MH17.

She became the target of threats on Twitter and messages on web forums called on people to protest outside the penthouse in Voorschoten where she lived.

Her neighbours said Maria Putin and her partner had not been seen in the area since Flight MH17 was brought down last Thursday.
The private life of Vladimir Putin and his family is covered by Soviet-style secrecy, so there is little information about Maria Putin and her sister Ekaterina.

Their daughters attended college under assumed names, and many of their classmates did not know their true identities. Even now, it is not known if they live in Russia or abroad, and what, if anything, they do professionally.

Russian journalists say it is easier to report on national security issues than on the Putin family.

Yeketerina Putin, whose life is shrouded in mystery as well, is two years younger than Maria.
Yeketerina has been rumoured to be dating the son of a South Korean admiral, and a South Korean newspaper reported in 2010 that the two were getting married, though the reports were never confirmed.
Their education:
Maria Putin and her sister attended an elite fee-paying German academy in St Petersburg, Russia.

After moving to Moscow in 1996, Maria, aged 11, was enrolled by Putin in the Friedrich Haass German International School .
Later when Putin headed the FSB secret service and went on to become prime minister, he withdrew Maria from the international school, so she - and later her sister were educated at home for security reasons.

Next - both girls studied at St Petersburg State University, Putin's old university.
Ekaterina entered the Oriental studies department; Maria studied Biology.

Putin has always denied that his daughter was in Holland, and in a television interview said that "both his daughters live in Moscow, where they’re combining their studies with part-time work".
